About Everest University Online:
Everest was established as the Florida Metropolitan University and has nine campuses across that State. A private, for-profit university, they are dedicated to helping working professionals further their education in a relaxed, self-paced virtual classroom, with the same support from faculty that on-campus students receive.
Because the majority of Everest´s online students are adults with established careers, Everest is especially interested in helping military personnel obtain their degrees.
Everest recognizes that career an family commitments often limit the amount of time available to study, particularly when active duty is involved, and so the university is a member of the SOC (Service members Opportunity College) Consortium. The SOC is designed to assist military personnel (and their families) study for their degrees without needing to attend campus-based classes. Courses are available online and also at or near military installations in the US, overseas, and even on U.S. Navy ships.
