Interested in getting your degree by distance learning?
Education isn’t one-size-fits all anymore. And why should it ever have been?
Each and every one of us faces a unique set of challenges when we set out on our educational journey. Earning your degree by distance learning can be one way of overcoming those obstacles.
Defining Your Goals and Challenges
Too many prospective students give up on their degree holding aspirations because they believe they just “can’t” manage a degree right now. What they don’t realize or choose to ignore is that there are almost infinite educational options designed to overcome the very types of challenges they believe are insurmountable.
Distance learning plays a huge role in those options. Almost all colleges–even some community colleges–offer at least some complement of distance learning courses now. These might be courses which are broadcast to various different locations via satellite, or they can be online based courses that you can study right at home.
And a degree by distance learning program may also offer other options to expedite your degree earning journey. These can include earning credits by testing, using CLEP and DANTES testing programs, or Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) where non-classroom-based learning is assessed for potential credit hours.
You may have been frustrated in the past trying to transfer previously owned credits, too–but many online, fully accredited schools and universities have very flexible transfer programs. These schools are focused on students like yourself who are continuing education and require a variety of creative options.
